winery SALOMON UNDHOF in Stein/Danube

History

SALOMON UNDHOF is a mute witness to history. The Capucine Monks, predecessors to the Salomon family at the winery until 1792, had selected the very best vineyard sites, which have been passed down from generation to generation of Salomons.
Here the first Estate bottling on record in the greater Wachau area took place in 1932 by Fritz Salomon, Bert´s father. These first wines were already exported to the USA in the late 1930´s.
Today Dr. Bertold and Gertrud Salomon represent the seventh generation of the Salomon wine-making tradition. They are already helped by their kids.
